Ginger and Mary
and Tiptoes in stable

The tack room is on the left of
picture.
The back door of the tack room led onto Jellicoe Avenue
and can still be seen (at least, the bricked-up doorway) in
Jellicoe Avenue, as the original wall is still in place.
At the Stokes Bay end of this wall is the entrance to the field
where
the horses and
ponies
spent their summers.
The field has been built on,
as has the site of the stables.
And the former double gated entrance to the stables can still be seen
in Jellicoe Avenue (again bricked up) about 20ft from
the tack room door, towards Ashburton Road.

The bricked-up tack room doorway
and the houses that were built on the site of
the stables.

The bricked-up double gated
entrance.

The field entrance as it is today.
